College Events
Senior Prizegiving 7th November. College Hall [More Events]Following our appeal for support in the first Old Students Magazine the school has been astounded by an anonymous donor. A past student has donated the full amount so that the school has been able purchased an 8’ 3” Schimmel K256 Concert Grand Piano.
The school and wider Wairarapa community will be benefitting from this gift. We believe that with this piano in the district we will be in a position to host a number of acclaimed pianists for the pleasure of all.
The school music department was taken aback and caught some what unaware by the swift response of the entire amount requested. We received a number of donations towards the purchase and these smaller donations will be put towards the purchase of a new classroom piano to replace our existing one.
The bonus of the donation was that with the refund the school receives we are also able to purchase a number of electronic keyboards for classroom use.
