The Wairarapa College year (like all secondary schools in New Zealand) is divided into four terms:

- Term one: Wednesday 2nd February to Thursday 15th April
- Term two: Monday 2nd May to Friday 15th July
- Term three: Monday 1st August to Friday 7th October
- Term four: Tuesday 25th October to Friday 9th December
2012
- Term one: Monday 30th January to Thursday 5th April
- Term two: Monday 23rd April to Friday 29th June
- Term three: Monday 16st July to Friday 28th September
- Term four: Monday 15th October to Friday 7th December
