Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is charged with governance of the College and is constituted from members of the College's larger community and who are elected by parents / caregivers for a three-year term.
The board includes two school-based representatives, one representing staff and one the student body. The Principal is an ex-officio member of the Board. The College has an Executive Officer who is also the Board of Trustees Secretary.

Mr Geoff CoppsI have been involved in School Trusteeship for a number of years having been the Chair of Totara Drive School and Lakeview Primary School for 9 years. I joined the BOT of Wairarapa College as a co-opted member in 2009 and became the Chair after the elections in 2010. I firmly believe that strong and capable governance is key to having a successful school and look forward to maintaining that at Wairarapa College.
As a parent Representative, I have been actively involved in school trusteeship for the past 10 years, 5 of these as a chairperson. I am utilising this experience to contribute to the Governance of Wairarapa College. I have always enjoyed being dynamically involved with our children's education, personal development and well being, and consider with my skills and experience, I am able to contribute to the continued development of Wairarapa College.
I was co-opted on to the Wairarapa College Board in 2009 and have been involved in school boards for over 8 years, 4 of these in the role of chairperson. I also have wide-ranging experience in business and employment relations.
I believe that establishing a strong relationship between school governance and management provide an excellent environment for our children to learn to the best of their ability and supports them to reach towards a positive future.

Mr Paul JordanAs a co-opted member of the Wairarapa College Board I am new to the school trustee environment. However I have a wide range of governance experience from sports associations to large corporate entities. I believe that the principles of good governance are fundamentally the same no matter what the enterprise and look forward to making a constructive contribution to the future of our school.

Mr Gavin McEwenThis is my third year of being the Staff Representative on the Board. I am a strong supporter of innovation and change. I am also very proud of the traditions, and the character, of the school. I have experience in governance through my previous role as a Management Consultant in London.
